For Bayer’s North American Headquarters, this project consisted of taking three (3) existing structures, formally used as electronics and testing labs, and completely renovating them into a new corporate headquarters. The total project square footage is just under 700,000 square feet. This square footage includes the addition of a 38,000-square-foot, five-story atrium, and a 15,000-square-foot fitness center. The project includes a new electrical infrastructure, new mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The new mechanical systems included rooftop air conditioning units, a series of gas-fired condensing boilers, and a 1000-ton chiller water plant. The project achieved LEED silver certification. Winner of United Way 2013 Impact Award.
